The concept was created to explore a new approach to global governance—one based on education, cooperation, transparency, sustainability, and greater participation by everyday people.
Rather than expecting world leaders to build strong relationships only after entering office, UPNOW proposes developing those relationships beforehand through a shared educational experience.

UPNOW UNIVERSITY
Educating the Next Generation of Global Leaders
UPNOW U is envisioned as an international governance university where future leaders from around the world can study together before taking on major roles in public service.
The founding concept proposes inviting four representatives from each of 195 nations to participate in a two-year educational program.
More Than a Classroom
The educational experience is designed around more than lectures.
Students would:
Study together. Live together. Share ideas. Discuss disagreements. Participate in sports and recreation.
Work through global challenges. Develop friendships across borders.
These shared experiences are intended to create relationships that can continue long after graduation.
The Proposed Campus
The original UPNOW vision identifies Argentine Patagonia, particularly the areas surrounding Junín de los Andes and San Martín de los Andes, as the proposed location for the university.
The campus concept includes existing facilities that could support:

Meeting areas
Athletic facilities
Outdoor activities
Gardens and greenhouses
Renewable energy systems
Community and cultural events
The natural environment would also support one of the university's central themes: respect for and connection with the Earth.
